What you’ll do:

• Under the supervision and direction of a licensed pharmacist, the intern’s primary responsibility will be obtaining medication histories for patients admitted to St. Cloud Hospital. First year interns have the opportunity to complete Medication Reconciliation.

• May be assigned to assist with various clinical projects, which can be tailored to an area of interest.

• Other duties may include but are not limited to: preparing and/or verifying preparation of unit dose medications, preparing non-sterile compounded products, and assisting in inventory management.

• Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.

• Patients of all ages are served.

• Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.

• Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.

Schedule

• Causal position | Around 80 hours per two weeks during the summer | Average 4-8 hours per pay period during school year

• Days generally 7:30am-4pm, evenings generally 12:30pm-9pm. Every 3rd weekend in summer.

Pay and Benefits

• $20.51 per hour

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an ACPE accredited Pharmacy program and has successfully completed the first professional year in a pharmacy program.

• Licensed as a pharmacist-intern with the MN Board of Pharmacy.

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician/intern is preferred, but not required.
