About the Role

Brown & Charbonneau, LLP is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-10 years of experience to join our firm. This is a full-time, hybrid position that offers flexibility to work from home part of the week. The ideal candidate will have civil litigation experience, good writing skills, excellent communication skills, and a drive to obtain exceptional results for clients. This position will involve all aspects of discovery, law and motion, and trial preparation, under the leadership of a Certified Trial Expert.

Responsibilities

· Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other filings

· Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses & experts

· Argue motions at hearings and attend case management conferences

· Communicate with clients regarding litigation strategy and case status

· Negotiate settlements and manage cases from inception to resolution

· Manage all phases of litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motions and trial preparation

Qualifications

· 3 to 10+ years of civil litigation experience

· License to practice law in California

· A juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school

· Strong analytical, research, and writing skills

· Excellent communication, negotiation and client-relations skills

· Experience representing clients in all stages of pre-trial litigation

· Experience preparing pleadings/motions and making court appearances

· Experience drafting and responding to discovery, including depositions

· Experience with trial preparation is a plus

· Family Law experience is a plus

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

· Legal research experience through Westlaw/Lexis

· Must be team-player, motivated, organized and hardworking

This position is for full-time employment with benefits and performance bonus. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
