Marshfield Clinic – Archive is seeking a dedicated Monitor/Video Technician to support pediatric care at Marshfield Children’s within our integrated Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining patient video and telemetry systems used to safely observe children and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings across our health system. You will set up and calibrate video monitoring equipment, ensure continuous, high-quality visual and audio feeds, and promptly report or escalate any equipment or patient-safety concerns to clinical staff. Working closely with nurses, physicians, and other members of the care team, you will help ensure that high‑risk and vulnerable patients are observed effectively, alarms and alerts are responded to promptly, and documentation of notable events is accurate and timely. The Monitor/Video Technician will routinely inspect, test, and troubleshoot monitoring hardware and software, coordinate with IT and biomedical engineering for more complex issues, and follow all infection prevention, privacy, and security protocols, including HIPAA regulations. You will track equipment inventory, assist with basic configuration and user support, and contribute to the implementation of new monitoring technologies and workflow improvements. Clear, calm communication and strong situational awareness are essential, as you will be expected to recognize visual indicators of patient distress, behavioral changes, or environmental risks and immediately notify appropriate staff. You will thrive in Marshfield Clinic Health System’s collaborative, patient‑first culture, which emphasizes compassion, integrity, and continuous improvement. As part of a multidisciplinary pediatric team, you will participate in ongoing education and training, support quality and safety initiatives, and contribute ideas to make monitoring processes more reliable and family‑centered. The environment is fast‑paced yet supportive, with leadership that values teamwork, innovation, and staff wellness. This position offers opportunities to grow technical skills in clinical video monitoring, gain experience in a large, integrated pediatric health system, and build a rewarding career supporting children and families across central and northern Wisconsin.
