Contract (with potential for extension)

Role: Teaching Assistant/Educational Counselor

Location: On-Site in Arlington, MA

Schedule: M-F, ~7:30AM-3PM

Pay: $23-25/hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support to students inside and outside of the classroom
• Support teachers, clinicians, and administration in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment
• Provide academic support, accommodations, and modifications as needed
• Engage and facilitate students’ transitions between classes and throughout the building
• Supervise students in all school locations as needed, including during arrival and dismissal
• Supervise and implement coverage activities during staff absences
• Work collaboratively with teams to prepare/maintain classrooms to support child development
• Proctor testing sessions, providing IEP-mandated accommodations as required
• Provide ongoing social-emotional support to students
• Complete student-related documentation as necessary
• Model appropriate social cues and body language and provide social pragmatic support
• Design and implement educational activities, with supervision, if needed

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children/adolescents
• Flexible and responsive with a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
• Maintain a commitment to professional growth and competency
• Exhibit positive behavior towards students, parents, and staff
• Bachelor's Degree in Education highly preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and medical compliance requirements
