Success Academy Charter Schools, Inc., a network of high-performing public charter schools in New York City, is seeking passionate and mission-driven educators for the role of School Year 26-27 High School Teacher within our Education, Training & E-Learning department. As a High School Teacher, you will design and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction in your subject area, engaging scholars in rich, inquiry-based learning that cultivates critical thinking, curiosity, and a strong academic foundation for college and beyond. You will develop clear, measurable learning objectives and unit plans, create daily lessons that incorporate a variety of instructional strategies and educational technologies, and differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs, backgrounds, and learning styles of all students. You will use data from assessments, classwork, and observations to track student progress, provide targeted supports, and adjust instruction to ensure each scholar is challenged and supported. You will play a key role in creating a structured, joyful, and intellectually stimulating classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to excel. This includes establishing and consistently reinforcing high academic and behavioral expectations, implementing school-wide systems and routines, and maintaining strong classroom management practices that maximize learning time. You will also build strong, culturally responsive relationships with students and families, communicating regularly about progress, goals, and strategies for success, and partnering with them to support scholars’ holistic development. Collaboration is central to Success Academy’s culture, and as a High School Teacher, you will work closely with colleagues, instructional leaders, and student support teams to refine your practice and enhance student outcomes. You will participate in regular professional development, coaching, and data meetings, sharing best practices and engaging in reflective dialogue about instruction, curriculum, and assessment. You will contribute to the ongoing improvement of curriculum materials and school initiatives, bringing creativity and a continuous improvement mindset to school-wide projects and programs. Beyond daily classroom teaching, you will contribute to the broader school community by supporting school events, student activities, and enrichment opportunities that deepen learning and foster a strong school culture. You may mentor or advise students, participate in committees, help plan showcases or performances, and model the core values of perseverance, responsibility, and academic excellence that define Success Academy.
