Job Description
This Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the daily production schedule to ensure customer service levels, inventory targets, and manufacturing capacity objectives are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop, analyze, and publish the daily production schedule for processing and packaging operations to optimize efficiency and service levels.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, Inventory, Logistics, and Sales to ensure customer demand is met while achieving corporate efficiency and inventory targets.
- Monitor schedule adherence and analyze the operational and financial impact of schedule changes; provide reporting and actionable insights.
- Proactively adjust production plans in response to changes in supply, capacity, demand fluctuations, or operational constraints.
- Collaborate with Sales and Inventory to create level-loaded production schedules that balance demand, capacity, and inventory health.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and eliminating supply chain waste, including strategic deployment of aging inventory.
- Work closely with Logistics to maximize throughput, coordination, and overall supply chain efficiencies.
- Partner with Customer Service to resolve product availability and service-related issues at all levels.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the facility as needed.
- Operate effectively within tight deadlines, demonstrating strong organizational, analytical, and planning capabilities.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the financial impact of production and supply chain decisions.
What Makes You a Great Fit: - Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of production planning within an ERP system, with experience in MRP and MPS systems preferred.
- Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to evaluate the financial impact of planning decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Windows-based applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively partner across Operations, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, Logistics, and Customer Service.
- Organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused mindset, supporting both internal and external partners with professionalism and urgency.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, while consistently meeting deadlines and operational standards.

Compensation Range: $72,000 - $84,000/annually.
Workspace Environment: - Combination office and production floor environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as extended periods of standing and walking on the production floor.
- Regular exposure to cold (32°F to 45°F) and wet conditions within production areas.
- Exposure to low levels of noise and active manufacturing equipment.
- Flexibility in work hours required, including occasional after-hours support and weekend coverage as business needs dictate.
