Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an MRI Tech I to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department and support high-quality, patient-centered diagnostic imaging care. As an entry-level MRI technologist, you will perform routine MRI examinations under the guidance of senior technologists and radiologists, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely imaging services for patients across our non-profit healthcare system. Working in a fast-paced clinical environment, you will prepare patients for MRI procedures, verify orders, obtain relevant clinical history, and position patients to produce optimal images while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety. You will operate MRI scanners and related equipment according to established protocols, adjust technical factors as directed, and assist with contrast administration in collaboration with nursing and radiology staff. A key part of your role is maintaining strict MRI safety standards by screening patients, staff, and visitors for contraindications, monitoring the MRI environment, and following all safety policies to minimize risk. You will accurately document procedures, maintain patient records in the electronic health system, and communicate effectively with radiologists and referring providers regarding imaging needs and any notable findings or technical issues. You will also help maintain a clean, organized work area, perform basic equipment quality checks, and promptly report any malfunctions or concerns. In alignment with Piedmont Healthcare’s culture of respect, innovation, and teamwork, you will work collaboratively with fellow technologists, nurses, physicians, and support staff to deliver compassionate care and a positive patient experience. You will participate in orientation, ongoing training, and professional development opportunities to expand your clinical skills, stay current with MRI best practices, and grow within the imaging department. This role is ideal for a motivated early-career technologist who is committed to safety, continuous learning, and providing excellent service to patients and colleagues in a supportive and inclusive environment.
