LifeBridge Health is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Monitor Tech to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our regional healthcare organization in Maryland. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting compassionate, high-quality patient care by continuously monitoring cardiac and physiologic telemetry for patients on designated hospital units. Working in a fast-paced clinical environment, you will observe cardiac rhythms, heart rates, and other monitored parameters, promptly recognize and interpret arrhythmias or significant changes, and immediately notify nurses and other clinical staff of urgent findings. You will be responsible for accurately posting and documenting rhythm strips, maintaining complete and legible records in the electronic medical record, and following established hospital protocols for alarm management and escalation. The Monitor Tech will collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other members of the care team, contributing to a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery. Duties include correctly placing and verifying telemetry leads when needed, checking equipment functionality, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and assisting with admission, transfer, and discharge monitoring processes. You will adhere strictly to patient privacy, safety, and infection prevention standards, demonstrate excellent communication skills over phone and intercom systems, and manage multiple monitoring screens with a high level of concentration and accuracy throughout the shift.
