Job Description

She’s a Keeper is seeking an experienced dog trainer to run and support our growing Board & Train program . This position is ideal for a trainer who is confident working independently with a variety of dogs and behavior challenges while maintaining clear communication with clients and our training team.

Our board and train program focuses on building reliable obedience, improving manners, and helping dogs and owners succeed through structured training and education.

Responsibilities

• Train dogs enrolled in our board & train program
• Implement individualized training plans for each dog
• Work with dogs on obedience, impulse control, manners, and behavior challenges
• Conduct client transfer lessons to teach owners how to maintain training at home
• Provide progress updates to clients and management
• Maintain training records and program structure
• Ensure a safe and clean training environment

Required Experience

• 2+ years professional dog training experience preferred
• Experience training off-leash obedience and real-life manners
• Knowledge of balanced training methods and tools preferred, including prong collars and remote training collars
• Ability to safely and confidently handle dogs with behavioral challenges
• Experience teaching owners and conducting transfer lessons
• Strong communication and professionalism

Compensation

Competitive pay based on experience, $50,000-$85,000 per year on average, $24-$40 per hour on average.
