The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support for the America Building America grant program. This position plays a key role in supporting compliance, coordination, and efficient workflow across all grant activities, including employer engagement, apprenticeship support, and partnership development. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with organizations in the industrial trades sector including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, aviation mechanics, and semiconductor manufacturing and demonstrate strong administrative professionalism.
Job Type: Full-Time Non-Exempt, 12-Month Calendar. This is a grant funded position. Salary: $22.73 - 28.64 Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry-related experience, teaching experience, and certification. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years administrative support experience, preferably in workforce development, education, or a grant-funded environment. Preferred Experience: Associates degree in Business, Education, Finance, or related field. Experience supporting federally funded or state-funded grant programs. Familiarity with apprenticeship programs, CTE pathways, or industrial trade workforce initiatives. Familiarity with industrial trades such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, aviation, or semiconductor manufacturing. Experience helping coordinate multi-region or statewide projects. Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems or data-tracking tools.
Licensing/Certifications and Other Requirements: Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Level 1 fingerprint clearance card. Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957. Valid Driver's license and proof of insurance.
